Combine the search for the designer's kits and graphics and graphics with Commons searches. (Currently it requires 2 separate searches.)

Advanced search, as others have indicated.
Also, ability to search for elements "not in a kit". If you've already downloaded the kit, no need to duplicate download an element in that kit. This type of search option would prevent that.
Finally, would be great to search by style (whimsical, geometric, vintage, ornate, etc)

I'd love the ability to filter results with more specificity.

It would be nice to have a simple search for a key word, and then an advanced search where you could also specify the designer, or if it's a kit or paper or embellishment or bundle, theme, etc. . .
Thanks!! -

I think there's a few very different things - searching forums etc, searching for kits & elements, and searching existing layouts
I'd love to be able to search the forums - that's not really possible at all now. Would probably need a way to search in different "sections" of the forums and the option to exclude closed threads (if searching in something like challenges, for example)
For searching kits and elements, it would be great to have an advanced search that allowed you to search for "button AND red" "car NOT cardstock" "mom OR mother" (and various combinations of those) and that allowed you to search within different kits or bundles. It would also be great to have a checkbox to let you include or exclude commons items as per your preference (rather than having to go to two different sections and do two different searches)
For layouts, I love being able to search by number of photos (which is already available) - though sometimes it would be nice to search for "5 or more" photos, for example. As an 8.5x11 scrapper, I'd also love to be able to search by layout orientation (square, landscape, portrait). I'd also really like to be able to search for layouts that have no comments yet . . . it would make it easier to leave some gallery love for layouts that have been inadvertently missed.
Lots of ideas in this thread, lots of work to make it happen - we appreciate your time on this!

As everyone has already stated: would like an advanced search option that allows you to search the exact words (specific search) and a related keywords search. So if I choose the related keyword search option and type in 'happy', I would like to see resources with things related to 'happy' like smiley face, joy etc even though these related resources aren't specifically tagged with the keyword 'happy'

Hi there! I would love to have a way to search the particular shades of a colour and/or know if two greens or oranges or whatever are the same. For example, sometimes when I use elements from different kits, I don’t realize until I see my printed page that the green or pink of one element was a little “off” and it clashes with the rest of the layout colours. Even a tutorial on how to figure this out and/or address this issue would be helpful. Thank you for all you do to make Pixel Scrapper so user-friendly! :)

Search function frequently does not show what you have searched for.
For example, when I search "The Good Life" and select bundles, it should only show me the Good Life bundles. This does not currently happen. -

The search function is very frustrating. Even if you type in the exact name of a kit it is frequently not found. The alternative suggestions are usually nonsensical .

I would really like to search within your main button categories: forums, graphics, gallery, etc. I’m wanting to learn more with tutorials but it’s frustrating that I can’t search for exactly what I’m wanting. I have to sift page by page.

improve your search engine when I search for an item, I receive no responses for something I know is there and just looked at, Now I bookmark the url to store the kit until I can look at it again of find again. When I wanted monograms, fancy lettersr I had a hard time finding them after the iniitial offering. Maybe you could pay attention to the searches to see what people want.

Search for bundles separately. Search for type, ie jpg, png, psd, abr, etc.

It seems like the things that come up in a search are sometimes VERY far off from what the original search word was. For example, I ask for "car" and the search gives me "canned peaches" ... an exaggeration obviously, but nonetheless, this sort of thing happens all too frequently ... perhaps searches could be more accurate.

Definitely can use to be able to search the forums...especially the larger we get. Even if we could search for things injunction with a user's activity stream.

It would be nice to have a means of cross referencing with templates. When searching for a template, I would like to see & access image hyperlinks to kits and sample layout designs that the template is used to better visualize how the template can be used.

Oh yes, I agree with Susan. A search for styles and actions would be fab!

Have a search feature for the forum. I just tried the general search but only saw downloadable content.

being able to search for 'styles', 'actions' etc ... right now the search engine can't seem to figure these out, it only brings up elements, templates and papers
